Agreed. Its usually my last resort and often on an old test device with no sim card in. I think the reason why the phone didn't see the printer is because a button on the printer had to be pressed first to make it "findable". Probably the WPS...

Yes, on my freebsd laptop I can connect to the hotspot. I get the local IP 192.168.223.12 and the document says that the printer IP is 192.168.223.1. Seems good so far. When I try 192.168.223.1:631/ipp/print, either with http or https, I get a...

Thank you for your responses. The larger point for me is not necessarily whether it works as a tool nor the logistics accompanying the development, but rather the more political and philosophical stance being taken. It's a dividing subject, and...

Likely the same? It has to contribute something visibly.... An AI service finding and solving software problems is nice. 1 that doesn't explain anything about it and could as well achieve the same result with real people has no value. Any AI...

Does it matter? I have good results with LLM code reviews, whether I call them intelligent or not.

Finding problems on software is in my opinion more a matter of repetition of a method that only requires computer logic. What's the "intelligent" part supposed to improve?

Installing the x11/xorg meta-port also pulls in x11/xorg-apps - which includes x11-wm/twm - as a dependency; however, with x11/xorg-minimal, while x11/xinit gets installed, x11-wm/twm (part of x11/xorg-apps) does not.

It looks like you have Haswell which is mature (no major driver changes any platform in years), but swapping takes less than a minute (don't even have to reboot iirc if unloaded/reloaded, but probably should)

Put it behind a OpenWRT router and block SSDP there to the Mercusys  Or maybe put OpenWRT on it directly, but they mention it having low RAM and don't seem to support it for more-recent versions (note 2 says discontinued since 19); might...

I'd use IPP (product page says it's supported) With a couple HP printers on FreeBSD and Linux CUPS and Windows I used this address (seems standard/might work for other vendors): ipp://192.168.1.172/ipp/print

Just a FYI: For nvme, there's nvmecontrol that can extract mostly equivalent or more info as S.M.A.R.T. but in different forms. As you can see in the manpage, page 0x02 of logpage would be what you usually want. You can see it by nvmecontrol...

So this should run the fortune command 5000 times, and for each output, only store it in tips.txt if it is unique. Otherwise you would end up with loads of duplicates. sort -u should do the same as sort | uniq. In either case, you need to sort...
