I think I/O could be about the same; with World of Warcraft I log into the world about the same time FreeBSD, Linux, and Windows; but while FreeBSD is the fastest, Linux and Windows have OBS CPU-side (along with Windows having another game +...

They have not yet entered into force.
These revised bylaws will take effect in 2028, unless the Core Team elected in

Annalesa I was part of a team who presented a poster for SAMBelfast24, (the only medical conference I have experienced).
I believe we used Dia for the poster itself. It was a bit of a faff though if I recall. The main thing is I don't believe...
Just a FreeBSD user which wants to play games and generally have a good desktop experience :)
I like to help out if it's something that I can do. And the current state of graphics support on freebsd does need help :P
I have managed to get Ollama 24 working with Cuda and Podman
Using my new project freebsd-cuda ( which im still working on )
I have 4 Podman containers in the project
1) Ollama working with Cuda
The models are stored on the Freebsd side in...
Please go to
devel/qt6-base or devel/qt6-languageserver and type male clean configure check configure output what is missing. I believe you need misc/py-spdx-tools
Not a requirement. A binary installation is no problem.
It required a clean FreeBSD 15 GENERIC system Without anyrhing installed or compiled, and a recent portstree.
It would be an improvement today. What a piece of garbage Javascript is. It's kept up by the advertising empire. The primary goals are personal tracking and artificial obsoletion of computers.
That old hardware is super nostalgic, honestly. I remember fixing up an old Toshiba laptop with barely any RAM and running some ancient Linux on it, it was slow but way more satisfying getting it up and working than using new stuff. Those chunky...
It's an unhelpful error. I was getting the exact same error yesterday in a jail where I wanted to run pf. I've done that plenty of times, but forgot to use the correct devfs rule (4 when it should have been 5). Same error. Felt ridiculous after I...
pf kernel module isn't loaded.
There's no "process" or "service" called PF, /etc/rc.d/pf simply enables PF (which causes the module to load) and loads the ruleset from /etc/pf.conf (by default).
That prevented access to the PF "device" (pf)...
Now I discovered another "feature".
When the mouse is over a tab, the cursor flickers, it oscillates between arrow and cross (like mouse on root).
No idea how to repair that. Wait till next release with new "features"?
UPDATE:
The problem...
As others have mentioned, that’s not possible. You can silence the terminal bell, but then printf "\007" doesn’t work either.
However, you can still use /dev/speaker to emit sounds if you want to, even if the terminal bell has been disabled. You...
After a forced upgrade of firefox, the cursor does not change anymore when it is over a link.
Do some knows the problem and solution?
It is terrible that after each upgrade one must waste time deactivating the new and old "features",
something...
"Recently, Gnome decided that it doesn't like the old cursor names and removed all of the old standard cursors from their cursor theme!" - this sounds stupid. Why? To save disk space or lower number of files?

I also.
Mosaic was the first graphic browser I used, then someone, in irc if I remember correctly, recommended
me netscape, and with firefox I am till now using it, but not really voluntarily as at the beginning, I am fed
up of this repugnant...
Bob comes his first time to play on that golf course in Florida.

The only browser I was ever satisfied with were Opera in 2000s.
Think about it it should've been a fat piece of turd, IE5/6 and Netscape were no slouch when it comes to consuming resources, now there is browser out there with fully customizable...
Yeah, basically they were scared of the year 1984 for some reason and wanted to break all software still relying on code from that time.

I installed scribus. It is a package bloat that bring more package bloat.
Big latence, takes time to start.
Error with loader, right mouse context menu disappears short after clicking.
It actualized my firefox, an I had to reconfigure firefox...
Thanks for pointing me to neofetch! I didn’t know about that one. Nice terse display of the system information. It doesn’t detect my WM correctly, though.
That’s wrong. The kernel just runs once per (re)boot, as does init by default, although you can also run one init process per jail, and you can also call init in a SysV-style fashion, but I don’t think many FreeBSD users do that. I certainly...

I tried that a while back, part of my drive for a light-weight system with as little GPL software as possible. At the time it felt a little limited, so I stuck with TWM for that purpose. I can't really remember exactly what I found limiting...

I hope you are successful.
I do not use or know gimp, but as far as I know, it is for manipulating images and hence not the right tool, because you need to embed text.
Note that gimp is not listed in the list of DTP programs.
I would in your...
