Solved Understanding swapinfo

Not long ago I created a swapfile of 16gb linked to md0 and set fstab properly to mount it on boot but I'm not sure it work.

when entering swapinfo only the swapspace created by default during install show up in the output. When entering swapon -a the output is that swapfile is already mounted on md0 or in use? Why does it not show up in the output of swapinfo? Is because its up but not in use ?

No something is up if you done it correctly you should see swapinfo with the md attachments.

ALSO be careful with this method this is a hack I had crashes/hang with these type of swap that stopped the moment I did a proper swap partition had to redo complete HDD gpt table...

My problem was let's assume you create a disk with 8 GB swap partition when you want to go to 36 GB like I did for swap.... Did the hack md work around added 24 GB of MD = crashes took me over 8 month to figure it out because it was not always + if you have NVME you rarely see, when I went to an SSD from NVME that's when I saw crash every week....

After proper GPT partition, stable system. Just my 2 cent Charlie Brown

Attached Charlie Brown there is a PNG I took from one of my servers... That's what you should see....

The crashes that I talked earlier depends on what you're using the server/comp, crashes occurred in my case with VM/Blender/Gaming/etc high usage of ram/swap software, BUT on my server the below setup do its job the occasional crash occurs probably once every 6 months.
