With linux service widevine and Chromium, right? For DRM, foreign-cdm is working pretty well.
Very rarely broken, for me, on CURRENT. Partly related discussion in FreeBSD Discord a few days ago.
vscode disappeared again from quarterly packages.

And VSCode is an editor? On my PC electron-quarterly compiles fine but not VS-Code. 32MB of ram, using 6 builders.
Regarding availability of the package, I explained several times what the problem is ...But it is unclear to me what is the real problem.
And regarding building yourself, I have it in my ports list since it was first available and it never failed for me. You still didn't show how it fails for you. Resource requirements for electron are huge (it's kind of a chromium in disguise plus tons of npm stuff), so it's quite likely that's your issue.Sometimes vscode compiles , a few weeks later it does not , a few weeks later it compiles again.
Oh yes, Electron is a mess as im trying to compile just Electron 25 and if i noted correctly - chromium was downloaded. And regarding building yourself, I have it in my ports list since it was first available and it never failed for me. For VS Code.Electron
For Obsidian, or for Vim Inspired Electron Browser (vieb)?
In the absence of a usable Electron topic, recent Electron discussions are scattered, some more interesting stuff is here:

signalapp / Signal-Desktop
I was just wondering if someone would be interested in porting signalapp / Signal-Desktop or if there is specific reason why it hasn't been ported yet (Linux only?). P.S. I'm not using FreeBSD (waiting for 13.0 RELEASE to go onto my new laptop) or Signal yet, nor am I a developer, so this is...forums.freebsd.org
The topic below is more appropriate. Unfortunately it can not be used without complaint:

Other - Electron for FreeBSD
GitHub user Guangyuan Yang has successfully built Electron on FreeBSD. As the Electron team has shown no interest in targeting FreeBSD or even including the changes in the official core, this promises to be an alternative way to use applications like Atom, Visual Studio Code and lots of others...forums.freebsd.org
For VS Code.

On quarterly FreeBSD 14.0 …
On quarterly FreeBSD 14.0 vscode-1.87.2_2 (electron27) fails compiling with error "bad c++ code".
Vscode is not broken anymore. You can build it from ports just fine right now and should appear with the next round of packages.
Electron
is not so agnostic as the project claims...
