How do I play Runescape on BSD?

Hey all, I just installed, and I wanted to play RuneScape. I know Runelite got deprecated by Jagex. How could I play the official client, or another one on BSD?

It's been a while since I've played, but a while back the regular RuneScape client worked for me without issue using wine. That was on Wine 7, I believe, and I haven't tried on Wine 9. That would be the best route to go for now.

Hello,

via wine8 it still works.

I tried that, however it returned with this when I tried to run the installer:
Code:
wine [wine-9.0] and wine64 [wine-8.0.2] versions do not match!

You have to do it with the 32-bit version of Wine, too. IIRC, that was:
/usr/local/share/wine/pkg32.sh install wine8

I'm not sure the location of the pkg32.sh. I didn't use normal Wine for a long time.

I got OSRS running and Jagex Launcher. For Jagex Launcher I used a pre-installed version to workaround the installer WebView2/IE thing. I'll write up better notes for FreeBSD probably after I check out RS3, but my Linux notes have the launcher zip and Wine details.

New renderer tanks my FPS down to 20-30, but old renderer does 60 Vsync no problem (and 140+ that one area :p). Music seems to play fine! (on Linux I needed PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=400 even with PipeWire)

RS3 also worked from the same prefix:
