FreeBSD 13.0-RELEASE. p4 kernel, p5 userland, consistent with <https://bokut.in/freebsd-patch-level-table/#releng/13.0>.
freebsd-update(8) repeatedly fetches but fails to install updates. Rebooted, no better. How should I resolve this?

There's a FreeBSD recommendation to use /boot/loader.conf for nvidia (with the latest driver for NVIDIA).
Is this use of loader.conf appropriate (with FreeBSD 13.0-RELEASE), or somewhat archaic?

Thanks, maybe six months is a basis for something else.
11.4 was released around two months after 13.0, and so on, and (unless I'm missing something) I see nothing relating to six months or biannual at the release engineering page above...

I don't recall seeing this before:
… pkg package missing, cleaning all packages... done
Seen at two different computers.
At the first computer, I'm trying to begin building electron12.
At the second computer (below), I'm trying to build Konsole.
I'm currently running 12.2-RELEASE on a system that I upgraded from 12.1-RELEASE-p10. I upgraded because the news came out that there was an update available and I like to stay current (not literally current, but current as in reasonably up to date and within support windows). Before I upgraded...
usually an upgrade of FreeBSD using freebsd-update is nothing to worry about. Just run fetch and install as documented and take care about the packages. And that's it. But there might be an option to speep up and save bandwidth if more than one system is to be updated.
As far as...
It seems 11.2 upgrade works fine but files missing for 11.1.

Hello, I can find the source code (which is currently being developed) but not tarballs or releases of existing source code.
Like is there a tarball of FreeBSD 12.0?
I cannot find such one online.
Also I'm very new to the BSD ecosystem in general so sorry if I ask the wrong way :)
I'm trying to build FreeBSD from scratch in a custom directory. In my line of testing, I was able to get to start to finish by using the default directories (/usr/src and /usr/obj). However, I would like to now use a custom directory to specify where the source is and where the object...

I am creating a custom build of FreeBSD using the release.
I would like to know if I can customize the packages that are installed in the system installation. For example, I would like to add the installation of the bash, vim, and so in the system.
I run three jails on a FreeBSD 11-release host, and manage them with ezjail. One of the jails generates an error when attempting to archive it.

I was using FreeBSD 11.0-CURRENT for a year - updating it from time to time. Yesterday I decided to update /usr/src and build world. However, I didn't realized that it's going to pull FreeBSD 12.0-CURRENT. Anyway, everything went fine, and I have a working system.
What is the proper way to...
