Sorry for my English, it's not native.
I am using FreeBSD 13.2-RELEASE-p10 as my mail server.
Updated icu port using portmaster.
After that everything broke.
It turned out that many other ports use icu.
I'm trying to rebuild them based on the new icu, but I...
I'd like to move my mail server (postfix+dovecot) from OpenBSD to FreeBSD 14.
Under OpenBSD, there is a package of Postfix with SASL2 and MySQL support together (postfix-3.8-sasl2-mysql). Is there anything like that under FreeBSD, containing both SASL and MySQL support as a single package...
Happy New Year.
I have configured my postfix mail server for ipv4 and ipv6.
When I tried to setup RDNS through my ISP, they said they can delegate the ipv6 subnet to my local nameserver where I can set the reverse dns records.
Has anyone done this before, if so any help is appreciated.

On one of my FreeBSD servers i have a recent security hole in the sasl auth mechanism.
Someone seems to have found and leaked valid login credentials to the postfix sasl accounts on a dbmail server.
This account was used to send fraudulent mails to a unknown number of recipients. I am still...

I have an issue receiving mail from mail providers (e.g., Gmail). I wonder how experienced FreeBSD admins diagnose this issue (either through location checking or a tool), the locations I looked at are as below. Any guidance is appreciated, thanks.
If I look at the...
I would like to get a feedback for my Nginx configuration for supporting a mail server in FreeBSD. Currently I did setup the following to have my own mail server, but have a confusion on how to setup the server block in a non-premium Nginx (1.22.1) as I cannot use my mail client in my...

What are the general recommendations for a public-facing mail server regarding hostname? I've been living forever with mybox.domain.com, recently changed it to just domain.com and it broke Postfix delivery. While I'm sure I can work around that particular issue, I wonder what I can and should...
After updating Postfix to the latest version (3.6.2_2,1) ldap is broken. I tried the flavored ldap version as well as the default version with ldap option compiled into it.

I need some help to create any rule, exp. pcre or regex to check if domain (@domain.tld) fields From: and Return-path are the same.
Generally, I'd like to avoid create another transport policy in Postfix, perhaps the above can do the job.
Thanks for any support.
Does someone know when we can expect the Postfix branch version 3.4 in ports tree?
The software is already ready since end of February and current version is 3.4.5 .
I do not want to install by myself from source. The old one 3.3.4 is legacy release and is availbale from ports of...
