Little something I've been chopping together - forked hikari and brought to wlroots 0.20 and forked rofi to get that layer-shell action which hikari was lacking
It's honestly pretty amateur stuff but I really like it - links if you wanna use -...
Run tzsetup. And make sure to update your system (timezones are regularly updated due to shifting summer/winter times).

I have a basic GIMP 3 installation but help for me works (online and in italian) selecting help from menu or pressing F1. In configuration is selected online version (Usa la versione online), opens in browser (Firefox), LANG=it_IT.UTF-8.
15.0 is not in chronological order from 14.4 . 14.4R was released later and have features (from CURRENT-16 -> STABLE-14 -> releng/14.4), that are not in 15.0R, and these features could be incompatible with 15.0R. It is the result of the...
Could you clarify - "I then upgraded from 14.4 to 15"? Was it 15.0 or 15.1 . FreeBSD documentations says, that upgrade is allowed in chronological order [1]. You cannot upgrade to 15.0, it is "previous" version. I will not go into details about...
It looks to me like just further evolved search engines. I don't care what any prompt webservice with LLM can generate for me. What does it know in detail? How much answers can it provide to questions that can only have 1 valid answer? The...
I am transitioning a mailserver to a new FreeBSD install. The configuration is / should be almost identical. Should be easy, right?
I get "schlepper sendmail[10502]: 67TIXqoB010502: SYSERR(cracauer): MX list for knight.cons.org points back to...
When re-installing LXDE-META I noticed that BASH was installed, so the problem may well have started when I deleted BASH.
Now after a reinstall of LXDE-META and reboot my system appears to be fixed.
LXDE is based on Openbox and it looks like something has broken but I don't delve into the underlying configuration. I have always just installed it and it works, although I remember similar problems previously which seemed to disappear over time.
Get the distfiles and try a source buiid? I wouldn't rely on precompiled binaries for such old system. It's unnecessary dependency. You can lose the provider or the exact file versions.

I beg to differ, Linux is a target of corporate hit and go for decades now. Linus did meticulously scrutinize many of those commits back then, but with Microsoft, Intel and every second company directly contributing to the project.
Besides, CVE...

Google for the developer and critics. I just downloaded that github archive. What's going on? It contains apparent binary /bin/sh/sh but it can't be accessed. I can't determine the binary format. It feels like a borked archive. The sh manpage...
When I start up LXDE using startx it comes up eventually after sever minutes but the right controls, ie min, max etc are missing and the system is very unresposive.
I have made no changes to the system that I am aware of.

Yes. As EM DASH (U+2014 in Unicode code point) is mapped to 3bytes region of UTF-8 (0xE2 0x80 0x94), not all non-CJK fonts would have its gryph.
And basically unrelated with anyone who doesn't read/write Japanese, but EM DASH has compatibility...
It must be the environment of the logged-in user responsible for not showing the character in question.
A new created, un-customized user account (on 15.1) shows the character ("short**—the") correctly, in console (default console font...
No.
It's NOT single byte 0xE2, but a part of 3bytes UTF-8.

So, is your terminal(s) configured for UTF-8 and having...

Actually I'm using LXDE on the radxa zero and on the radxa cubie. But it's temporary. Soon I will port some components of Plasma Mobile with the goal to create a WM tailored for a phone. Since I'm building a phone,it should have a proper WM...
With the proliferation of AI/LLM models analyzing the Linux kernel's vast codebase, there has been a surge in the number of CVEs per kernel release. After typically being around 500 CVEs fixed per release, we are now approaching 2,000 CVEs fixed...

I never liked these huge 170W PSU bricks ... so I moved 'back' to use the 135W PSU from ThinkPad W510 ... they still work like a charm.
To be honest ... I never needed that NopeVidia bullshit they put into these W520 - I just wanted CPU cores...
After "short". This is a dash, but not the 7-bit minus sign. Hex code is E2.
The fault is not in my terminal or my font, the same display shows up in xterm and kitty.
