Sorry but Linux is far away from MB. What similarity you find - comfort, lux, price? No. Linux like Mercedes-Benz.
There will never be such a thing as a FOSS car in the states. Big brother won't let us license or register anythign that we can "tune" the emmissions on.
*Sight* can you leave the abbelwoi alone? It does you no good.So let's try to have some fun:
If you can have a virtual penis enlargement with cars,
can you enlarge your penis with FreeBSD?
And if so does FreeBSD have a better effect than Linux?
äbbelwoi = Apfelwein = apple wine.abbelwoi
No drugs, no alcohol at my end. It looks like you have a reality problem.*Sight* can you leave the abbelwoi alone? It does you no good.
"äbbelwoi" is used in the state of "Hessen" which is more or less the Frankfurt area. Each village has its äpplewoi festivals and it is a good idea to have nothing scheduled for the day after. "äbbelwoi" is known in many other countries as "cidre" or "cider".äbbelwoi = Apfelwein = apple wine.
Frankish dialect. It could be perhaps also used in the palatinate (Rhainland Pfalz),"äbbelwoi" is used in the state of "Hessen"
Flemish (Dietsch) is also low frankish.Well it's not Flemish.
Depends on the word, the context and the dialect of the speaker.By the way, when I hear flemish or dutch, I note that the "n" at the end of the word is not
pronounced, although it is written. Is it a rule? Is never pronounced?
Bleck! I'm of the opinion that calling that particular linux flavor FOSS is a stretch. I'd also betcha that any linux in "driver assist" systems in the tesla is way locked up and restricted from the user.Tesla uses Ubuntu as the base for their so-called 'Autopilot' (a.k.a. the self-driving feature that ppl keep mis-understanding...) ?
If cars were built like Linux is, Goodyear would have bullet-proof tires that never go flat - but also not fit any of the wheels. Why? Because of refusal to get on the same page with others in the industry about what the tire dimensions should be, and nobody to override that stubbornness and say, "Work together, or else nobody gets paid!"Bleck! without hijacking the OP too much, I'm suspicious of the freeBSD crowd's understanding of Ubuntu vs Debian. Having worked in many Linux rich evironments, feeble management and leads who are leads because they don't know any better tend to misconstrue the capabilities and "agenda" of Ubuntu. Management is enamored because they "have a corporate entity behind it and can everybody says it's sooo easy to use". and leads of questionable ability like it because they've not really dug into the lower levels of the Linux ecosystem and are scared to do so. I refuse to use it. It is evil-corp plain and simple. You cannot 100% disable their corporate data mining, they wholeheartedly push that "abstract everything to a gui that even a caveman can use", and are learning to play that game of hiding features/documentation that encourage FOSS, while coercing users to take the lazier "trust us" route. I RARELY am on board with Lord Stallman, but we are in agreement that Ubuntu is a dangerous path for FOSS.If cars were built like Linux is, Goodyear would have bullet-proof tires that never go flat - but also not fit any of the wheels. FWIW, Ubuntu's code probably needs very little modification to run on a Tesla. Heck, I've seen claims of Teslas being re-configured to mine bitcoin... they probably have a rather dated version of awk that you can find on any GNU git mirror![]()
I don't get it.A sign of stupidity is not understanding a joke.
And the InterNet conveys sarcasm soooo easily.I don't get it.
Unwarranted brand name loyalty?Sorry but Linux is far away from MB. What similarity you find - comfort, lux, price?
Quote from that rfcafe.com page:The computers vs cars thing is a meme from ancient times when even memes were mostly text:
If Cars Were Like Computers... - RF Cafe
GM would redesign the dashboard of its entire fleet to rearrange all the instruments, remove the buttons and knobs from all thewww.rfcafe.com
Here's what Bill actually said:
12. You'd press the "start" button to shut off the engine.
Speaking of a convenient feature, BMW has a feature most BMW drivers don't seem to know exist. An indicator!BMW had that feature since at least 2006.
