Solved Thermal information, reported by Intel processors

There's a comment in the BUGS section of the OpenBSD cpu(4) man page:

Due to the way in which thermal information is reported on Intel processors, the temperature may be off by exactly +/-15 degrees C.

I'm wondering, whether

* It's an Intel-specific bug, and both FreeBSD and OpenBSD have the same problem.
OR
* It's an OpenBSD specific problem, thus it doesn't apply to FreeBSD.

FreeBSD has coretemp(4), but if that queries the same on-die sensors then it'll probably report the same kind of deviation. As this appears to be a problem of the sensors themselves.
