HomoSapiens is the AI frontier model of nature, but crows are the DeepSeek one! Birds have a very compact but powerful brain, especially crows and parrots. They outperform our mind in "computational" density per gram. For this reason, Parrots don't believe we are really intelligent, and they call us Stochastic Brickhead

Crows are impressive. There's a famliy of 100 close to my home There have been complaints to the local authorities for noise and group-attacking cats.. They placed sound sirens in the trees to chase them away but the crows called another clan that I know from 2 km away at a school for help. They destroyed the tree speakers that react to crow sounds with extreme violence.

Not sure a stance like 'a crows brain would *outperform* a human brain' would pass even the smell test (entirely different needs). They may have a higher neuron density though (that I can most certainly see) just based on the fact they need to be smaller and lighter than we do.

The AI hype is just a query on big data. It's not that special. Search engines were there for years. This is only a fancy output of the same information. None of it is actually constructive and reaches beyond common knowledge to invent something new. We can see that because it didn't bring any significant new technology.

To be honest is not important because it was a joke. But anyway, an AI frontier model is the industry term for the biggest, most resource-heavy AI flagships models, like OpenAI's GPT or Anthropic's Claude. They require a lot of RAM and GPU power for answering to queries.

DeepSeek is an AI model famous for achieving rather good intelligence on a fraction of the compute resources of frontier models.

"Stochastic Brickhead" is the reversal of "Stochastic Parrot", that is the term that AI detractors use for qualifying AI.

A frontier model is one of the newest, most capable models, usually from Anthropic, OpenAI or Google.

Deepseek is a Chinese company and also the name of their LLM.

I like orcas as well. They are also very intelligent and vicious (they can eat a shark's liver and leave the rest if prey is abundant), and mysteriously (according to YouTube), they refrain from killing humans for reasons unknown.
