Spotify; has it been working for anyone else?

Spotify in Chromium works fine with the following instructions:

I would also like to have the native client running in linuxulator though.

Why does it need linuxulator? Does it rely on closed source components?
The link to a linux client program on their own page doesn't work. Kind of a bad sign, I must say. Who lets that happen?

At least for the last couple of years on linux, in my opinion, the only consistent way to get the client to work was to use the flatpak/snap version. I also tried to get it working with linuxlator without success. In the end gave up and solved running spotify on firefox.

In any case the current debian package will not run on Rocky 9, it requires glibc 2.38+, rocky 9 is at 2.34 (plus some extra dependencies from EPEL).

There's FreeBSD port audio/spotify-qt. It gives me error: ld-elf.so.1: /usr/local/lib/qt6/libQt6Svg.so.6: Undefined symbol ObjectPrivateC2Ei@Qt_6_PRIVATE_API"
Private API?
