Programs not opening

I recently updated to 14.3 .
The only thing that opens is Firefox, when i try to open thunar it says "input/output error"
And when I do nitrogen --restore to get my background it fails too.
 
In order to get help, you need to give us much more information than "it fails too". What exactly fails? What are the symptoms? What system calls is nitrogen doing? What are the error codes on those system calls?

The fact that thunar is reporting "input/output error" makes it seem likely that the basic problem is hardware. Have you checked things like dmesg, syslog, or smart whether the underlying hardware is OK? What operation that thunar tries causes an IO error?
 
i got it working by reinstalling them but i installed mpv which caused drm-kmod to be changed and now im stuck on an error that makes my device keep rebooting over and over and i cant do anything
 
Instead of debugging what was wrong, you simply reinstalled things. You didn't learn how to diagnose and fix problems.

Furthermore, we can not help you debug "an error". If you want assistance with your drm-kmod problem, you'll have to explain (a) what you did, (b) what happened, and (c) exactly what the error is.
 
Boot into single user, then remount the root (/) in read-write mode then disable the drm-kmod so you can log into the console and update your pkgs, including the drm-kmod.
If you don't know how to do this and need detailed step by step instructions let me know.

Ok, I did get it to work but I installed mpv and it looks like that changed the drm-kmod version, now everytime I boot it says its going to reboot in 15 seconds and I cant type anything it just keeps rebooting

For crying out loud, how many times are you going to post this? You won't be getting help any faster, and people will simply start ignoring you. Settle down. Stick to one subject and have some patience. Answer the questions others have asked you, instead of repeating the same thing over and over.

Oh, and I'm not your personal consultant, so stop with the DMs. I'll help when I can, I'm not available 24/7 to solve your problems. There are plenty of other people on the boards that have offered help.

i get error trap number = 12
panic: page fault.

I installed mpv and it said it would delete drm kmod but i pressed yes anyways. It also says "BOOT LOADER IS OLD" when It turns on
