Problems with new Krita 6.0.2 what is based on Qt6

I am just curios did anyone here are using Krita? Do you have any problems after recent Krita upgrade from 5.2 to 6.0?
Now when starting Krita I see "snapshot" of my windows/desktop instead of Krita user interface (take a look at screenshot attached).
All packages successfully upgraded by using "pkg clean && pkg upgrade -f" but nothing helps :( I am using Latest pkg repo. FreeBSD 15.1-RELEASE-p1.

I haven't used it much but have krita on the system, and UNFORTUNATELY it got upgraded to 6.0.2 and now 6.0.3
For me it is now totally unusable, I regularly use texts in my graphics and the 6.x version of Krita is unable to use ANY font other than the default sans-serif system font.
I had hoped it would be fixed in 6.0.3 but it has not been.

Can you share please what DE you are using? KDE, Gnome, Xfce?
You have X or Wayland?
nVidia or AMD or Intel GPU? Version of driver?

I have just updated to krita-6.0.3 but I still have the same issue.
Also tried to create new user and start Krita in fresh environment (in case my profile are damaged) but no luck.

I heard what Krita 6 are more like beta version and everyone are advised to use 5.3. I would love to have both 6.0 & 5.3 in ports for freedom of chose, but unfortunately now there is only Krita 6 available. :(
 
15.1-RELEASE-p2 AMD, Xfce4 with Qt6/Qt5 support, X11, Nvidia 580, have a old XP-Pen waiting for Krita. I'm in 100% agreement with you about getting access to Krita 5.3
I have built and installed a krita53 (a Qt5 build naturally, bit of a rabbit hole), no G'mic, and no RAW image file support, and it would conflict with the official 6.x, but otherwise. O what joy to be able to select a font and see the vector layer update.
 
Just for record.
I have "GeForce GTX 760" powered by "nvidia-driver-390-390.157_1".
Otherwise I have the same configuration as yours (Xfce4/X11/FreeBSD 15.1-RELEASE-p2/ Wacom tablet).

I've just updated the port to 6.0.4, the font problem seems to be fixed. I may consider to restore krita-5.x if 6.x still lags behind for your tasks.

Just for record. My problem is still not fixed. I still have snapshot of my desktop instead of Krita GUI.

Krita used to have issues as it still used Qt5
I can build it from ports on 16-current
This box is a clean recent build from source, no binaries from repos installed.
I would guess the problems comes from a not-updated library

This is on X11.
It starts using Wayland as well.

Does the "snapshot" move with the drawn window border when you move Krita's window? If not, it should mean Krita draws window frames and splash image (splash seems to be drawn as separate non-bordered window, though), but not yet drawn its interiors and keep it transparent.

And Krita is a "heavy loaded" application that takes looong to startup.
If it doesn't "crash with core dumps exhausted", try starting up before meals (maybe "light" breakfast would be enough, but depending on the performance of your computer, possibly "heavy loaded" dinner could be needed) and see it started up when you're back.

If it crashes, try running pkg check -dan and see any errors (missing libraries and so on) are emitted. If any errors for Krita exists, it means something Krita wants are NOT installed or broken installation (or something in /usr/local/lib/compat/pkg, which should be old versions if any, is/are picked up before correct newer versions).

No way. It is already started just GUI is not responsible.
