I'm specifically interested in a permalink for the English version of the Handbook for 14.0, but I'd like to know in general how/if such links can be obtained.
The "Handbook" link in the "Documentation" dropdown for freebsd.org links to https://docs.freebsd.org/en/books/handbook/, which is for "the latest version", and which says Handbooks for earlier versions can be found on https://docs.freebsd.org/doc/. I don't see anything directly on that page that is clearly intended to get to earlier versions. There is a "FreeBSD Handbook" section in its main menu, but that just links back to the first page.
That first page goes on to say that the book (no mention of the version or versions) can be downloaded from https://download.freebsd.org/doc/, so I figured I'd check there, too. Unfortunately, the two places on that site that seemed like the most plausible locations, /doc/handbook/ and /doc/en/books/handbook/, both have only a single version each - presumably the latest, though I didn't actually bother checking that. There's also a /doc/README.txt, but it doesn't seem to have any information that would help with this.
I also tried a perfunctory site search, but didn't notice anything that seemed promising.
