ZFS Modifying/re-building FreeBSD kernel for ESXi NFS datastore

Hi,

so I followed the directions on another site to edit `/usr/src/sys/fs/nfsserver/nfs_nfsdport.c` and then perform `make kernelbuild` and `make kernelinstall` - rebooted (of course). Don't appear to have any difference in transfer speeds with NFS datastore in ESXi (sync set to standard). Decent reads and abysmal writes, as per usual with ZFS over NFS on ESXi.

I've looked through `dmesg -a` to try and find something to indicate the modification worked, but I am not really sure what I am looking for (don't see anything regarding NFS). Can anyone who's tried this before help me out?

Thanks!
