Will it work? I've heard that the Intel Arc B580 has a bunch of bugs, so will it be compatible with FreeBSD?
Sorry, but what does that mean?Depends on the Linux DRM version, as it's that driver that's being imported.
The graphics/drm-61-kmod is a port of the DRM driver from Linux 6.1, graphics/drm-66-kmod => Linux 6.6, graphics/drm-510-kmod => Linux 5.10, etc.Sorry, but what does that mean?
That would be 6.6If you can figure out which Linux kernel version supports your Intel Arc video card, you can figure out which version of the DRM driver you would need.
- install Xorg and friends. How do you test that it's working afterwards.
I have the card on my Linux computer. I could do a test next day off I have.

SCFB is tied to GOP resolution on UEFI installations.if I install xf86-video-scfb Xorg works, but the resolution is wrong (800x600) - my monitor has 1920x1200 resolution.
gop list from loader prompt. Thanks - I had forgotten about that. gop list shows a range of modes, and gop get showed that mode 2 (800x600x32) was selected. Doing gop set 0 (mode 0 is 1920x1200x32) got me a high resolution console (framebuffer) and then scfb works in native resolution.Checkoutgop listfrom loader prompt.
