Than access the CUPS web interface at http://localhost:631/
For my printer I have installed HPLIP and HPLIP Plugins. With HPLIP is option for install printer too but dow with CUPS first.

in order to do that, you need to configure the printer in CUPS. it is easiest to do this from the web ui. configure the printer from the web ui.

Yes. There should be a Manage Printers under the Administration tab, or an entire Printers tab, wherein you can delete the existing one (which we assume is not configured correctly), and then there should be an add printer button that gives you an add-printer wizard to re-add the new one. Once you have that configured, you should be able to view the printer and print a test page.
