Xfce How can I disable gvfs daemon?

Hi,

I have recently installed x11-wm/xfce4 and I often use ports-mgmt/poudriere but in the output of some poudriere command, i saw that poudriere can't unmount their thingies and looked at the lsof(8) output immediately, then I saw gvfs doing something there, like what the duck are you trying to find there? So my question is, how can I prevent it from running or only don't allow it to act like this?

Code:
# lsof | grep poudriere

On my machine I mount a disk and then try to unmount it and it will not release disk if it was opened with Thunar.
I have to drop out of GUI and umount from command prompt.
Utter garbage.

I see, it seems it's the thing i definitely don't want, since it's doing something with my mounts without my permission. I still want to know if it's easy to disable or is it that a big problem that will make me ditch the whole xfce?

I disable the AutoMount options in one file located in /usr/share/local/gvfs/mounts

Code:
root@jupiter ~# cat /usr/local/share/gvfs/mounts/trash.mount
[Mount]
Type=trash
Exec=/usr/local/libexec/gvfsd-trash
AutoMount=false

Maybe some other files are also concerned.

I would also be interested in disabling it

A mount point will not be released if root or a user has an application, including a terminal/shell, accessing the content in the mount point. When you say you cannot unmount the disk, are you using the left click "eject/unmount" icon in Thunar's side panel? If the eject button does not work, then it is a FreeBSD bug. In Debian, you can unmount within Thunar.

In OpenBSD there is an automount daemon that has to be manually enabled. In Debian/Devuan, gvfs is an optional dependency and uninstalling it will remove automounting on all mount points. Not sure if FreeBSD has a separate automount daemon or if automounting is managed by dbus/gvfs. You can try removing the gvfs package which in Debian/Devuan disables automounting.

Thanks for the hint!

Maybe this patch would work. (Tested build and package only for now.)

Unfortunately, tabs seems to be improperly converted to spaces, so attaching zip, too.

Not sure which approach is better, found PR 267270 that make trash optional.
