Goodbye GitHub ... ?

I say "Goodbye, Github" every night only to start the next day with "Good morning, Github".

Then I sing these lyrics by Nine Inch Nails: I believe I can see the future / 'Cause I repeat the same routine.

Every Day Is Exactly The Same.

JohnK I'm not following so I don't understand your complaint. Fossil is version control. So is git. They like Fossil in that it's got a github like thing rolled into it and it's easier to use and built by the sqlite people. git is more difficult to use but more encompassing probably. So I don't get the pushback.

Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock...

It's the countdown for GitHub and Codeberg. I've spent three evenings configuring and testing the infrastructure and Fossil, testing merges, parallel branches, file conflicts. Remote connection speed tests showed Fossil was blazing fast.

Plus, I love the interface, the Timeline, the markdown rendering, the diffs... I'll look into it a bit more, but at this stage I don't see anything that would not lead me to make Fossil my one and only code repository :)
