I forgot yt_dlp... https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp Very useful...
Thanks for that. Last time I tried youtube-dl it was failing to work. I had installed it with py311-pip. I'll give yt-dlp a try instead.
How do you run these programs on FreeBSD?In order:
Firefox, Excel, Photoshop, SONAR, VLC media player
Added Librewolf to a live system. It works on all sides but what do I need for safe password management? It seems it doesn't have its own. I'm considering a site login system based on pushing keyboard characters to webpages but that's ugly...Librewolf,thunar,leafpad,geany,lilyterm+tmux
qbittorrent,vlc,audacious(31 eq bands like the old xmms2)
In the base of fvwm3
I'll fix the title, sorry for the confusion. My intent was to inquire on frequent programs used by forum members on FreeBSD specifically.I don’t.
I only use FBSD for what it does well.
Yeah, nice, works great. I just downloaded this epic new song by ruby R53I forgot yt_dlp... https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp Very useful...
Don't forget xteddy! https://xteddy.org/Since we are getting nostalgic, I miss xroach. Something satisfying about swatting a 2d roach before it can hide under a window...I'm guessing it will never be able to run under a wayland compositor...how shortsighted...lol
no fucking way twin, i don't even know how to react furtherYeah, nice, works great. I just downloaded this epic new song by ruby R53View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjfiQphkgZI

You see that people seems to be answering to different questions.Essentially, yes. I just know there are so many points of view and use cases among the forum users.
The question wasn't meant to be complex but simple. For users of FreeBSD, I am curious about what programs they most frequently utilize. If someone responds with the kernel that is alright with me as long as it can provide an idea of what programs people are using most frequently. You see that people seems to be answering to different questions.
Your answer seems to incompletely respond: what do you install. Of course I use also dd, du, etc.
And I have a big list of programs to install if I have to install again an unixoid OS.
My answer was more, for what I use the computer and what programs I mainly use for it.
Fast answer, there is more to reflect.
Other people include window manager, xterm, tmux, namely the working environment. That is for me very
important, but secondary.
The question if the kernel is a program is correct, then one should answer what OS one uses.
