FreeBSD Screen Shots

Hi.
My custom built BSD with bspwm and Librewolf.

Yep, 6.5.0, launching from SDDM has been fixed! Next issue to work through is power management - SDDM does require restarting by hand if the monitor goes to sleep. (with service sddm restart, run as root) But at this point, I don't consider it to be a showstopper... For details, see end of this thread: Thread trying-to-run-kde-6-plasma-with-wayland.93951

Edit 8 pm PST: At this point, I actually do consider the power management to be a showstopper bug that needs attention - I discovered that if I don't SSH in quickly enough, the onboard re0 gets disconnected! 👿
Edit 2, 8:30 pm PST: Yeah, the workaround to that is to not let the machine sleep, ever. Only then does the SSH workaround even work for me.

My last CDE screenshot for good...

The bottom left OSD data are from sysutils/nbosd, which is invoked by a custom keybinding. The OSD data in the middle of the screen are from a simple custom script I made myself that adjusts the volume via three custom keybindings ( UP 10% - DOWN 10% - Mute toggle). I also made a similar one for the backlight. I can't show my custom menu because it disappears when I try to show the OSD data (it hasn't changed since the last screenshot, though).

Fonts in Qt/GTK are now smoother and easier for the eyes. GTK theme is "cdetheme" with default fonts changed, Librewolf theme is "Digital CDE" whilst the Qt theme is a custom one I made myself (it's used by emulators/virtualbox-ose-72 in this screenshot). I'm very happy with this setup I have to say.

Having Laptop that has everything working with FreeBSD makes me want to post this.

XDM (got fed up with stock look. Slim seams to have some bug in combination with x11-wm/fvwm3):

Happy days!
How did you take the shot of your logging screen? I would like to post mine. Cheers!

Surprisingly du -sh at the command line only showed 433MB on hard disk. Looking at my fastfetch stats it shows about 7GB/1.7TB at 0% that’s pretty lean to me.

Whoa check out the mountpoint at /zroot 👀

My new main machine. It's built on top of a Dell 3010 SFF. It has an RX 6400 GPU, AX210 Wifi, Sata SSD, 12V LifePO4 voltage monitor, 10AH Lifepo4 12V batt and charger, 300Watt power inverter, Cherry MX Red keyboard, ROG Strix impact 2 mouse, mouse pad top with MDF as the backing board, Dell soundbar model SB521A, FreeBSD 15.0, Plasma Wayland. The screen is 1080P 60Hz IPS and it's covered in 1/8" plexiglass. :D
