FreeBSD Metalheads

Off topic, but the white manned humanoid'ish robot appears in the video is categorized as Class A Heavy Metal in the story. Non-humanoid'ish ones are categorized as machinery. The anime is titled Heavy Metal L-Gaim.
The music itself would be considered as rock'n roll rather than heavy metal.

Why Heavy Metal? It's said because the designer (both for mechanics and humans), Mamoru NAGANO, loves and plays (as a basist) heavy metal.😁

1981 'Heavy Metal' movie, based on the magazine of the same name. I still have a few old copies of the mag buried away somewhere.
And I found softcopy of the magazines here, from 1978 to 1987.
There is a single zip file of all the magazines in pdf format here:- https://archive.org/compress/heavy-metal-1977-07-01-x-04-july/formats=TEXT PDF&file=/heavy-metal-1977-07-01-x-04-july.zip

I think the whole movie used to be on yt, but I could only see a paid-for version this morning.

Full album soundtrack. There's some pretty good songs in there.

There was a german rock band I used to like called 64bits. One of the guys in the band, I think his name was Andreas, was a well known computer hacker who wrote a popular printer configuration program, I can't remember the name of the program. I did use that program and exchanged a couple of emails with him which is how I found out about his band. They recorded some good heavy numbers too. Sadly I can't find them on the web anymore, they used to have a homepage you could download their songs from, but search engines don't seem to find it now. I guess that was about 25 years ago, I wonder what happened to them. If I try searching for '64bits rock band' I don't find anything, which is a shame.
