FreeBSD Metalheads

I disagree that KISS is metal 👎 If you go back to the 70s they were best described as a Disco-Rock band (listen to I was Made for Lovin' You again). Even some of their best Rock tracks are just Hard Rock at best (although I Love it Loud is a thumpin' tune at the AC/DC level). By the way, try to find videos of the TV show that they had circa late-seventies/early 80s. Definitely not Metal Heads. Besides, most 80s rock bands had two major influences: Sweet and Slade. As 70s bands go, KISS followed the trends and continued doing so into the 80s. 70s Metal Heads are mostly Sabbath/Ozzy, Judas Priest and Maiden. Some may add Led Zeppelin to the mix but i do not and i dislike Zeppelin anyway. As a fan of The Oz, i generally dislike Dio.

I think that this list would never be complete without Megadeth and Metallica. I also add Rob Zombie (glam and commercial metal of sorts and including White Zombie).

I also have to add Cypress Hill - Lightning Strikes (shout out to Twisted Metal fans in this forum too 🤟)
You wanna include B-Real and Sen Dog on a Metal thread, but cut out the greatest metal vocalist of all time? Speaking as a fan of Cypress Hill from the first album onwards, you're weird, man. Perhaps you are a jackal of the street. Ride out, protectors of the realm!

edit: More seriously, the artistic reawakening of both entities in the early 80s as a result of new blood (Dio with Sabbath, Rhoads with Ozzy) is really quite incredible. Ozzy had the more enduring career, to be sure, but with Dio up front they were like an old hotrod with a brand new, rebuilt engine.

I liked Jake E Lee better than Randy tho

I say BS as "Heaven and Hell" with Dio in 2007. it was incredible.

Also caught that one, thanks to generous friends. Another friend took me to see Ozzy (and Kiss, actually) around that time, and my wife *insists* that we saw Sabbath with Ozzy, but I don't remember that, though to be fair, I would've been euphoric.
