In religion, we do find unpalatable elements, like zealotry, bigotry, hypocrisy, and a lot of other vices.

Those same vices are also present in the worlds of tech, politics, you name it.

As I see it, a lot of those vices arise out of a sore lack of information. But at the same time, it's impossible to be omniscient.

That's a fair point. I shouldn't be necessarily be looking for technical content in Off-topic, should I?

If a ZFS-focused thread evolves into a discussion about Rust, how off-topic would that turn of the conversation be? Especially considering that the core devs of FreeBSD are actually considering implementing zfsd in Rust?
