Rant about Aliens...

No, you read bit wrong, these were no straight lines. I don't care about straight lines, the air traffic exists in the area.

Imagine raising a big drone with bright light to airliner altitude and then doing a circle of lets say 500m radius. The person watching straight from below at night would see a small star-like apparition circling an rather small area of the horizon.

But, there were two of them and they were aligned to same circular motion.

Ejected phase of a space vehicle could produce a swiveling debris where a 2D plane would look like objects going in the circle, however this is often accompanied by other visual artifacts.

It looked like you picked two random but adjacent stars out of thousands seen in the POV, and made them spin on a circle.

meteoric iron might be a possibility and was used by early humans to make tools
True. I also read that the Japanese used to pan for iron ore in certain mountain streams, and maybe something like that might be enough for a limited industrial revolution, but it wouldn't be as easy as extracting iron here on Earth.

Iron is pretty frequent. A planet without iron is rather seldom.
True, but in maybe that iron tends to sink down to the core of the planet, especially in planets with higher gravity than what we have here on Earth. Interestingly, a quick internet search seems to reveal that both Venus and Mars have higher concentrations of iron ore in the crust, than Earth has, so maybe my idea is all wet.

Hmm, I wonder what it was you saw then. It's hard to think of anything man-made that would look like that, unless it's balloons carrying radiosondes, but there would have to be two of them to circle each other. Helicopters wouldn't fly that high, and as far as I know there are no drones that go to anything like that altitude. I remember there were trials of high altitude gliders to provide internet service years ago, but I think satellites have ended anything like that. Very strange.

I hope it wasn't some kind of spying platform... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_Chinese_balloon_incident
