In this same thread: https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/freebsd-screen-shots.8877/page-104#post-734520Anybody got a modern looking Xfce?
Saw that.In this same thread: https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/freebsd-screen-shots.8877/page-104#post-734520
You can use the "Search" button (at the top) and select "This thread." Then write XFCE and take a look at the results.
Doesn't it look modern to you, the one I linked?Saw that.
(Not only) therefore my question.
Actually, the most you see is the background image. I'd like to see more windows and more widgets, and best no background image at all.Doesn't it look modern to you, the one I linked?
can you please show these scripts and how you set everything up ?My last CDE screenshot for good...

The bottom left OSD data are from sysutils/nbosd, which is invoked by a custom keybinding. The OSD data in the middle of the screen are from a simple custom script I made myself that adjusts the volume via three custom keybindings ( UP 10% - DOWN 10% - Mute toggle). I also made a similar one for the backlight. I can't show my custom menu because it disappears when I try to show the OSD data (it hasn't changed since the last screenshot, though).
Fonts in Qt/GTK are now smoother and easier for the eyes. GTK theme is "cdetheme" with default fonts changed, Librewolf theme is "Digital CDE" whilst the Qt theme is a custom one I made myself (it's used by emulators/virtualbox-ose-72 in this screenshot). I'm very happy with this setup I have to say.
