Well, it finally happened. After one year and a half of using exclusively FreeBSD I moved back to Linux. I chose Void because it supports ZFS which is a must for me. I was able to restore all my data (thanks to zrepl ). It can also be installed with ZBM which in my opinion is something like bectl on steroids.
Why did I do it? Because I opened a bug months ago about a regression from 14.x to 15.0 well before the latter was released and the developer (the only one to the best of my knowledge) does not know what caused it and doesn't have any idea on how to debug it. The irony is that the Foundation is trying to push towards laptops and I'm leaving FreeBSD because a suspend/resume regression.
Well, I'm not happy of course, I prefer FreeBSD to Linux, but I don't believe that the problem with my laptop will be resolved anytime soon.
