I'm following a new strategy: I have few (already read) manuals on the desk. Sometime, I open one of them, at a random page, and I try to apply immediately the suggestions/lessons explained in the book, in the hope they become an habit.
 
In his recent interview with The Economist editor-in-chief Zanny Beddoes (released just days ago), Elon Musk recommended Iain Banks' Culture series of science-fiction novels as the best envisioning of an AI-driven future he’d read. He suggested people read the Culture books to get a sense of what the future could be like.

It's VERY FreeBSD relevant because one of the ships of the civilization in the book is named: Just Read the Instructions. Other ship names: Of Course I Still Love You, Experiencing a Significant Gravitas Shortfall.
 
I always have a list to read. And I'm primarily a reference reader, so there's often something left unfinished anyway.

Need to finish The C Programming Language. A few years ago I read the first book from the History of the Peloponnesian War by Thucydides and have been thinking of finishing the rest now. Got The Suburban Christian by Albert W. Hsu and Seat of Wisdom by James M. Jacobs waiting on my table.
