Other Using winoptions in icewm

want the matchbox-keyboard program to display without a border so I added the following line to .icewm/winoptions

matchbox-keyboard.dBorder: 0

It doesn't work. What am I doing wrong or not doing that I should?

I am very new to icewm.

After editing .icewm/winoptions have you restarted IceWM or reloaded the file ( icesh winoptions)?

Is "matchbox-keyboard" the exact NAME (The resource instance portion of the ICCCM WM_CLASS property for the window. icewm-winoptions(5).)

If in doubt use x11/xprop to get WM_CLASS, i.e.: xprop | grep WM_CLASS.

As to restarting, yes I did. I also tried rebooting although I didn't expect that to be any different.

xprop | grep WM_CLASS

gave me matchbox-keyboard for both.

Question, if the program sets its own border, will the setting in winoptions override it?

jpfreebsd, do you mean perhaps title bar and not border? If that is the case try dTitleBar, and eventually dBorder together for border-less.
