That's OpenBSD! This is a FREEBSD Board!! :)
I can't see any difference between Xfce4 on FreeBSD and OpenBSD. Recently I have moved from FreeBSD to OpenBSD on my desktop because of hardware troubles. I just copied my /usr/home directory to new system, so my FreeBSD desktop looked almost the same.

I'm sorry if my screenshot is offtopic. I thought it's ok.

Well, here's mine -- nothing spectacular, not even compositor is on. Clickety-click to make it big.

Xfce on my OpenBSD4.5 powered laptop
GQView hasn't been updated since 2006 and seems to be dead.
Geeqie was forked from it. It's still alpha, but according to its homepage, a release is close. They've been applying patches that never made it onto GQView and adding new features.

Try gpicview its very small, fast and light.

I used to have a pretty cluttered desktop, but I've managed to pare down quite a bit. Its not obvious from the screenshot but I use Envy Code R as my system font, which is a very clean mono-spaced font.
