Hi,
I've the similar problem of https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/x220-x11-resolution-is-incorrect.61715/ topic.
The resolution set on my laptop by default is 1024x768, but the real resolution is 1366x768.
I used Slim + Xfce4. I've no choice to change it in the appearance settings.
I try to install the intel driver (> https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/x220-x11-resolution-is-incorrect.61715/ - pkg install x11-drivers/xf86-video-intel), the Slim display is well but after login I've a black screen and not interaction possible with differents TTYs.
The only solution that I found to retrieve the graphic access was to remove the latest drivers installed (pkg remove x11-drivers/xf86-video-intel).
Someone have an idea ?
Thanks !
