Solved RetroArch core

Thank you SirDice
I think i described my situation incorrectly.
For example:
I have installed:
pkg install libretro-nestopia-0.20220322
And in the RetroArch I can see my core:

But when I try to load a ROM for NES I have message "No Cores Available"

Is it? Definitely going to try this when I get home, this issue has bugged me for a long time.

If I am not mistaken, yes. You can then select a rom directly and it will load the appropriate core.
I also chmod -R 775 /usr/local/share/libretro to allow downloads of assets as user (wheel group) from retroarch.

Yes, that's what I expected to work. But it never did. Scanning my folders for roms never detected anything either.

I also chmod -R 775 /usr/local/share/libretro to allow downloads of assets as user (wheel group) from retroarch.
I changed that setting to a directory in my home directory, there are a few other settings that are pointing to some directory in ~/.config if I recall correctly. Some set to the user's home directory, and some that aren't.
