I just installed FreeBSD 15 after knowing that my wlan card, Realtek 8852BE Wi-Fi 6 (RTL8852BE) is supported by the OS according to https://www.freebsd.org/releases/15.0R/hardware/#wlan
But while installing the OS only my Ethernet driver was detected by the Os. I had to use a usb tethering from my phone to install the OS and packages and DE using desktop-installer.
I tried using wifibox to try and configure WiFi but no luck. I tried connecting a wifi dongle to see if it at least works that way but networkmgr crashes my OS when I do that and wifimgr doesn’t show any networks either
Edit: I found what’s triggering the PC crashes.
The wlan0 card was eventually detected somehow but now when I run ifconfig wlan0 up scan, the entire system crashes. The same thing happens when I try to scan for networks using networkmgr
