New Wiki on FreeBSD and BSD in general in french

Hello BSD users,

I know this is a FreeBSD forum, but I wanted to share this video about OpenIndiana because many OpenSolaris technologies have been incorporated into FreeBSD. But if the moderators feel this video doesn't belong on the forum, I understand.

Hello BSD users,

Video explaining the origins of FreeBSD, its foundation (how it is organized), and practical application for a more in-depth explanation

All my videos are in French since this thread is dedicated to French speakers but no worries I will indicate it on my next videos on FreeBSD.

Good evening BSD users,

An in-depth video in French introducing NeXTSTEP, a BSD UNIX, followed by the emulation of a NeXTstation using the Previous emulator. This demonstrates that macOS hasn't invented much in terms of its base system, and this may be instructive for FreeBSD users because, as you know, macOS is largely based on FreeBSD.

When I say that the macOS base has not evolved much, I am not referring to FreeBSD, but I note that the bricks used to compose macOS are almost identical apart from the contribution of FreeBSD.

I made a video in French on YouTube about installing Xfce on NetBSD 10.1 but since we're on the FreeBSD forum, I won't post the link (I don't want to attract the wrath of the moderators).

If you're interested in emulating some of the early Bell Labs Unix and UC Berkeley BSD UNIX, head here. More versions are coming soon.
This can be a great way to learn a little more about the origins of FreeBSD.

In this French video I give a short description of bhyve and proceed to install NetBSD 10.1. Link in the video description.

You just got new subscriber. I can't understand a word of French, but auto generated CC's work well enough (I hope?).

BTW, I love that you are having set proper Application Launcher icon in KDE ;)

Page on the BSD SunOS system which has made a huge contribution to current Unix (including GNU/Linux). 4.3BSD and SunOS are in my opinion the two OS which have contributed the most to UNIX System V Release 4, UNIX System V was much less evolved than the BSD Unix before SVR4 but nowadays the BSDs have largely taken over the System V market

Before, I've added your BSD wiki listed in French to Thread nature-of-bsd-operating-system-providers.99042
So, there's German as well. Yours should be the goto for French. If more pop up, a new thread on Wikis would be suitable. A few major languages are lacking. Goodness for your French wiki!
