Movies (and TV shows)...

Dr Who - you are like them or you are hate them. There are no other options. I think I saw so so many...but I didn't miss any episode of The Black Adder.
One of the things that Rowan did that he was actually funny in. I really need to get a copy of the series for my collection.

On the topic of British TV programming, I recently saw the first couple episodes of The Brittas Empire and now I'm wondering how on Earth I managed to miss that for so many years.

You Rang, M'Lord?

We have many on DVDs.

This movie's English title is Small, Slow but Steady. In its native Japanese title seems more like Keiko Eyes Open Wide, maybe, but maybe a native speaker could give a better translation. (My wife just said, I'm watching TV, leave me alone--err, that's not a translation of the movie title) But the native title is

ケイコ目を澄ませて

Anyway, it's about a deaf female boxer--it's not a boxing movie, there's probably 10 minutes of boxing in it, and whether the protagonist wins or not isn't even something you get too excited about. It's more just a slice of life type movie, but
I found it rather moving.

It turns out that I'm really liking the Jack Benny Program (that was the original name). Its humor has a touch of absurdity that I like. It really makes me laugh on occasion. It's good entertainment to forget about the present and one's problems. All the actors are remarkably good.

This YouTube playlist has all 172 episodes (and in the correct order).
