Other Mounting Sheepdog in FreeBSD 10.0

Greetings,

I am bringing up a FreeBSD 10.0 server which will serve two functions: a filesystem server and a users server for ssh connection. Being as there will be a lot of data which needs to be stored, I would like to load Sheepdog (https://sheepdog.github.io/sheepdog/) onto another machine and mount in onto the FreeBSD server.

This seems like a fairly straight forward process, but, being as I can't find any posts from those who have mounted Sheepdog in FreeBSD 10.0, I thought I'd ask first before I started in this direction.

Thanks,
Noris

What leads you to believe you need an EOL version of FreeBSD to use this? I cannot find it in ports, googling "FreeBSD 10.0" "Sheepdog" yielded and amazingly small 41 results, none of which appeared to be related to each other. Looking at the installation guide for sheepdog, it mentions debian and RPM, so I'm suspecting this is a *nux only project.

If Sheepdog can provide an iSCSI target I see no reason why it can't be used on FreeBSD. Sheepdog itself could run on a Linux machine.
