Milky Way stars are not orbiting the black hole Sagittarius A*

It's a Virgo, not a virgin. And every man who ever chatted about zodiac signs with his future wife just got offended.
Is is "Virgo" in english, not all languages are alike. In german, it is the same word.
And why would anyone be offended by the fact that there are other interests? I for one are of the "you don't like? Yay, more for me." type.

I can live with that. I have a bunch of gravel to glue on strings and sell as Orgon Harmonisators.
You must not know then about the entire 150 billion USD a year industry of osteopathic and homeopathic medicine in the US. Homeopathy, for example, uses the "Law of Infinitesimals" where diluting a substance makes it more powerful, not weaker, provided it is vigorously shaken between each step.

Don't get me started on that nonsense. The fewer brain cells these folks share between them the smarter they are assumed to get. Does it work?
And the worst part? We have health injurance companies here that PAY for that sugar.
Better use this. (BTW, the last one about the private mail is ... interesting)

This was the one I liked. Selling cans of fresh air to China. Although it's pretty sad that air pollution there is so bad, that they want to buy it. 😪
There's plenty of fresh air where I live... all I need is an industrial unit and a canning machine.

I remember a few years back there was a company selling meltwater from arctic glaciers too, though that probably has a bit more sense to it, less PFAS and microplastics pollution... hopefully anyway.

I am tired of double standard on this thread! Everyone make fun of Astrologers, but nobody questions Astronomers who dated the birth of the supermassive black hole A* between November 22 and December 21 of 9.125684 billions of years ago, and they called it Sagittarius A*. This is an unreasonable level of faith in science!

Einstein had to give Newton his due when he said there must be a medium for light to travel. Newton gave it the name word aether. It is in his book Principia sub; Philosophy of science

Baffles me. We spend hundreds of years trying to extract the few good molecules from otherwise poisonous plants only for modern witches to once again make potions from the whole plant, which is either mostly poison and/or has so little effective substance one would have to eat train load of it - looking at you Chia seeds.

It's the gravity waves that have me worried...
Not only we will have to leave the Solar system one day, to save the whales (it sells better to save the animals) but most likely we will have to flee the galaxy as well.
Astrologers can help with persuading the masses to chip in. In a great irony, galactic cataclysm can complicate their earnings - no stars to chart if near star and galaxies go poof.

The tea leaves speak of the great goat eating the sun. I'm sure I heard that before...

But before the galactic core goes poof, we need to find us a ringworld.
Not that stupid goat...again.
Goat is Great.

Read Ringworld (just the first part) recently. Good scifi.
Humans bread to be lucky,
Immortal species so risk averse it almost kills them.
Ringworld dies because there is no ore to mine after disaster.

Is there a Good scifi books thread here? There should be one, if not.

Would it be fun if we did collaborative writing on one thread here? Round-robin/chain story where everyone participates in writing the story. Anyone can write a small piece, and the next one picks up where the previous one left off. Robots take over the world and decide to use FreeBSD to run the planetary backend as they build their robot empire. FreeBSD devs are clueless until they realize they're part of the plot to erase humanity and replace biology with silicon.
