Mango wm window manager building the latest version and tips and tricks

Building Mango wm from source on Freebsd to get the latest version

Mango wm is in part based on the dwl window manager and has the following advantages you dont need to recompile when you make changes, per tag layouts, 14 different layouts built in, trackpad support for switching tags

I will also show you how to create a window switcher using wlrctl as an alternative to the overview

And a layout switcher using tofi to easily switch layouts with a fuzzy search instead of cycling through the layout pressing super n

Styling Mangobar to look like the dwl bar, using the ipc interface to send command to mango, setting up your keyboard with xkb, disabling animation and effects to speed things up

Changing the mango keybindings to replicate the dwl keybindings, creating window rule to play videos with mpv on the external monitor and make sure mpv doesnt gain focus
