Solved Installing qemu

I thought I would give it a go....

in the process of running ../configure gmake I end up with

'sphinx==6.2.1' not found:
• Python package 'sphinx' was not found nor installed.
• mkvenv was configured to operate offline and did not check PyPI.


Sphinx not found/usable, disabling docs.

ERROR: Cannot find Ninja

Help!

I was just trying to follow the video.

I guess the version I was trying to build is not yet available on FreeBSD.

No, you just need to follow the error messages. It says you lack ninja, so you need to install ninja.

The video did not have such a problem so I don't want to be out on my own. I'll just carry using something which is known to work.

What is the version you want to build?

In ports we have qemu-devel at 10.1.20251130.

You will have to install a big number of run and build time dependencies before you can compile qemu on your own.
