Installing Google Chrome on FreeBSD

im signed into my google account
i though i did it by signing into gmail, but it was a while ago

chromium does have the option to use a profile to sign in under the settings

you can create a profile and sign into google
or sign into a google service like gmail

but i seem to remember that chromium has removed the option of syncing with your google account

Sync Chromium with a Google account does not work any more … solutions?

Since around today, March 10, 2021 and recent update to 89.0.4389.82 Chromium stopped syncing to Google accounts. As is turns out, this is due to some changes made by Google. What can we as users do?

after signing into gmail
when you do a google search you should see that you are logged in

i think the profile doesnt sign you into google account so you can sync bookmarks etc
but after you sign into a google service with that profile you will be logged into your google account

and if you switch to another profile you will be logged out
