i915 driver causing freezes on FreeBSD 13.0

either kld_list="" or kld_list="drm" or kld_list="i915kms" or kld_list="drm i915kms";

There is no module named drm, so those are just ignored.

Thank you for replying SirDice. I didn't know that /boot/modules/drm.ko was going to be ignored. In my desperation, I just followed the suggestion given in post #22 above.
At this point I'm loading the intel driver from xorg.conf.d/ and nothing from /etc/rc.conf because this is how I proceed for years. Thanks again.
