Solved How to Play Minecraft on Wayland

I use niri, hmcl launcher, and openjdk24.
When I run java -jar hmcl.jar, it said no x11.
Then I turned hyprland and xwayland, it worked, but Minecraft on xwayland was too laggy.
So I turned back niri. But it's output changed. It doesn't say no x11 anymore though it can't open display

Can you elaborate more on 'laggy'? In my experience, minecraft without any optimization mods, especially on latest versions, tend to be droppy/laggy in first minutes of the world. Then it gets better over time. Sodium etc. improves this situation.

Yes, in first minutes after creating a new world, drops occur while sprinting in 1.21.10 version. Thanks for your advice, I will try this mods.

With java programs (especially games) I often have to set the maximum memory allocation higher, as the program runs out of memory. There should be a way to do this in your launcher's settings (not in-game), under something like: Settings->Video->maximum memory/max ram . You should check your F3 menu to see if your game is running out of memory.
