Solved How to create a key for connecting to OMAPI of ISC DHCP without dnssec-keygen?

What is OMAPI supposed to be? And what are you trying to accomplish anyway, I can't help get the impression that you don't fully grasp what this setup is supposed to do.

The key would be used to establish a secured connection with a DNS server which could then update the zone with the new data. In other words: as soon as the DHCP server assigns a lease (IP address) it would register the name with the DNS server. And of course when the lease expires the name would be revoked, telling the DNS server to remove it again.

Usually these constructions only work with a so called dynamic zone, and not too many DNS servers support that concept.
