UFS How do I speed up firefox by having it not hit disk?

even after enabling the memory only cache firefox feels slower n pause-ier than chrome........

Ok tried copying .mozilla to /tmp

started firefox with firefox -profile /tmp/.mozilla

firefox comes up with no plugins....etc....no configs or bookamarks....does seem faster.

Is md faster than tmpfs?
It's not. I was using md, because it was what was suggested is a book where I learned about /tmp in RAM, and because it could be started from rc.conf.

I recently read others posts about tmpfs being able to resize the amount of RAM it needs. Dynamically adjusting a RAM filesystem seems like overhead, but it frees up RAM. I recently tried tmpfs over md, and it does seem faster, so I switched over. MD tied up that RAM.

MD probably has its uses, when RAM must be dedicated, but for typical desktop use, tmpfs seems better.

It may be faster because it has no ad blocker. After all an ad blocker filters every single tab and inevitably consumes more memory and processing power.
