Other Hikari hangs

Hello, I have installed Hikari with the suggested configuration. I used Alacritty as my terminal and set it via the config file. Problem is, when pressed Super+Enter, nothing happens. There also is no mouse pointer and it does not allow me to switch to another tty.
 
Hikari uses wlroots 0.15

there are some people looking to update it to use wlroots 0.17
but it looks like Hikari may be adandonware


might be better looking at another option
