FreeBSD on Android pKVM AVF

Ah, so rather than exposing the core linux os base that makes up Android and provide a real native terminal, they wrap it in a virtualization framework to further restrict the device owners capabilities and throttle performance, while undoubtedly using this AVF as a means to surreptitiously introduce more data-mining bloat...Typical Google...

don't trust ANYTHING those bastards provide!!!

It's maintained by the hardware. Android devices are fixed to not run any other kernel, which also is the only thing that has access to the internal storage volume on OS-level. People buy it because there's nothing else... Any Android smartphone is a crippled ARM computer.

I have 2 old phones. They both could be wireless fileservers on my local network but they are unuseable for anything but looking at a dated UI that lost all support but refuses to be replaced because the computer has "Android architecture."
