So the forum lets a user "follow" another user.
I don't do this so I'm asking why/what happens?
I'm guessing it may give one notifications when a user being followed posts something.
I'm assuming it does not create a reciprocal relationship: "Oh they followed me, do I need to moderate my posts"

This is just a curiousity question on a Saturday afternoon when the sky looks like thunderstorms.
 
One advantage of Following is that you can set your personal profile to allow only people following you to to view it.
Giving a sense of control of your personal profile.

So I can write things on my personal profile and filter it by privacy settings.(with my account settings)
-Only Followers Can View
-Only people logged in can view
-Nobody can view
