DaVinci Resolve 19 working in Ubuntu Mantic jail

I have just managed to get DaVinci Resolve 19 working in a Ubuntu Mantic jail with Nvidia and Cuda

DaVinci Resolve 19 running as a XWayland application in Ubuntu Mantic jail

imported prores footage in Davinci Resolve 19 and edited it

but when i try and render the footage resolve just hangs
tried exporting with DNXHD and uncompressed video but no joy

the render queue just hangs and doesnt finish
so the footage doesnt export

i didnt have any issues rendering with resolve 18.6
and im using the same jail settings

nvidia and cuda are working in the jail

maybe there is some setting in resolve that needs to be enabled or disabled
