Boot SdCard

I just got a Lenovo l440 today and it's old school couldn't tell by the pictures. It has all USB ports and a SD card slot.. I won't have a USB thumb drive so I'm trying to boot from the SdCard. For some reason at the boot menu there is no option for SdCard.

Any help is appreciated

Dont know.. looking in the bios I don't see anything that jumps out

It's just a simple card reader. It may present itself as "USB storage" or something similar. Although according to some Reddit posts the card readers in Lenovo laptops are connected via PCI, and you're not able to boot from them.

Got a usb stick from amazon and will boot it up tomorrow when i get the power supply

Everything is working beautifully.. Gave openBSD a shot but FreeBSD is my true os.. Having fun with my permanent os
